Like on the Five Wings sculpture below. I precut the newspaper into wing shapes and put down five evenly spaced on a flat vinyl surface. Then six layers of glued wing shapes are applied, and left to dry. An hour after the 3rd or 4th session, I remove the now pliable sculpture from the vinyl and gradually bend it into its final form; this could take a couple of days.
