The paper mache was made with egg cartons , water and white glue . There is an armature made from corrugated cardboard , wood and aluminum foil . The embellishments are painted leather and 2 metal loops . The base was made by cutting and gluing several pieces of corrugated cardboard together and then spreading paper mache over it ( like icing a cake ). The finish is black India ink and low gloss varnish .
