What a lovely idea and piece of art! It makes me smile. Good job!
Sandra, I had my hip replaced about a month ago and am recovering well and slowly. But I have to tell you, I toasted a piece of bread every morning, and that little wire holding up the kite kept me smiling every day. I don’t know if I’ll be able to ever open a loaf of bread without thinking of the windy day. Thank you very much. A little joy to begin the days does not hurt. (And the simple creativity is awesome.)
What a cute statue! I love art that makes a memory! This will be a treasure for years to come.
Thank you 🙂 You are right about the memories – I get to keep them and make more!
Awesome! I just want to know what is holding up that kite? Does wind come with it. What a joyous figure. Thank you.
Haha! I used a wire bread tie – it seemed the nearest thing to a cord and had the strength to keep the kite aloft – no wind needed ?
Thank you for the feedback!
Sandy
What people don’t think of to use. I never would have guessed, and I wouldn’t have thought a tie was strong enough to hold up anything. Thank you. I love the way you think! and this is a great piece.
Thank you,Rex! Part of the fun for me always is solving the little challenges of the piece. I walk about in small circles brainstorming what and how to use stuff around the house ?
I will check out your work now!
I don’t think I’ll ever open a loaf of bread without thinking of you! My dog and I walk around in big circles, and my paper mache drawer is full of “unusual” stuff, but I usually don’t get from A to B. Thanks for the laugh. And amazement.
Haha! Too funny! Maybe I just have too much time on my hands ?
