Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a great Halloween. And now Thanksgiving is coming up – I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by!
I found some fun Turkey projects on YouTube. There was even a paper bag turkey, filled with popcorn, by Martha Stewart – but I think we could do better than that!
I also had a chance to make some paper mache clay with Wurth joint compound (it worked!) and Jessie has a new workshop…
Wurth and Gorilla Wood Glue
This may now be my favorite drywall joint compound, but Wurth won’t work with Elmer’s Glue-All. I’ll be using it to cover my new alpaca sculpture.
Check out the new video, and also leave any questions you have about paper mache clay. I’ll be answering them all in a new video next week.
And now, for some turkeys:

Maddy & Evelyn Craft Time
This video is a bit long, but the turkey the kids make is really cute. See the video here.

Turkey Pinata
This large pinata is made over a balloon – and it would look nice decorating the house for Thanksgiving, even if you don’t want to break it. See this video here.
Jessie’s New Painting Workshop
My daughter, Jessie Rashe, has a new painting workshop coming up. It’s called “Find Your Artistic Voice.” If you paint with oils, acrylics or watercolor, this would be a great chance to discover your unique painting style in a supportive online class. Check it out here.
And one more turkey…
This is a theater prop turkey, and it’s been on my website for years. It’s hard to believe it isn’t real! Betsy wrote a tutorial for us so we could see how it was made. You can see her post here.
Remember to check out all the wonderful projects that have been posted on the Daily Sculptors page, and if you have a question about paper mache clay that you’d like to have answered in my next video, please add it in a comment on this post.
Have a wonderful weekend!
